Statement from the partnership

“Following a development session in June 2024 the Lead Safeguarding Partners from the three statutory partner organisations, Local Authority, Police and Integrated Care Board agreed to transition to a partnership approach as defined by the updated Working Together 2023 (WT23) legislation.  WT23 defined the role of Lead and Delegated Safeguarding Partners, and called for strong, joined-up leadership and clear accountability to drive effective multi-agency safeguarding.  As part of the local arrangements, we have also collectively reviewed and developed our shared vision, mission and values with children being at the heart of this, including changing the name of Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Board to Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership.
